He was born Dec. 1, 1929, in Flagstaff, Ariz. Mr. Anaya was a retired carpenter in the building construction industry. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Lodi and enjoyed playing softball, bowling and watching old western movies. He is survived by his wife, Bernice P. Anaya, of Lodi; children, Virginia Ann Dorheim, of Escalon, Barbara Anaya, of Lodi, Julie Parker, of Lodi, and Tony Anaya, of Oregon; brother, Louis Anaya, of Arizona; sisters, Teresa Aria, of Arizona, Rita Rodriguez, of Arizona, and Lucy Retich, of Canoga Park; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Geno Anaya. A memorial Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Lodi. Committal will be private. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 2720 Gateway Oaks Drive, No. 110, Sacramento, CA 95833. Rocha's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
