Barber April 5, 1942 — Jan. 24, 2006 Graveside services will be Friday for Judy G. Barber, 63, who died Tuesday at her Stockton home. Born in Poteau, Okla., Mrs. Barber moved to Tracy when she was 4 years old, where she lived until 1958. When she later moved to Stockton, she was a training officer for Union Safe Deposit Bank for 10 years. In her free time, she enjoyed baseball and basketball. She especially loved watching Sacramento Kings guard Mike Bibby. Above everything, she loved spending time with her family. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Barber is survived by her husband, Jerry E. Barber of Stockton; children, Brett Barber, and his wife, Kim, of Stockton, and Lisa Sperling, and her husband, Perry, of Lodi; siblings, Jo Ann Hatley, James Richardson, Helen McNally and Rosalie Halford, all of Lodi; and grandchildren, Amy Sperling, Matt Barber, Sally Sperling and Michael Barber. Friday’s graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 at E. Harney Lane, in Lodi. Visitation will be observed from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi. Contributions in Mrs. Barber’s name may be sent to the American Cancer Society of San Joaquin and Calaveras counties, 207 E. Alpine Ave, Stockton 95204.
