Edward Beaver 
Edward Joseph Beaver, 81, of Lodi, died suddenly on Aug. 21 in Honolulu, 
Hawaii. He was born April 13, 1924, in Milwaukee, Wis.

Mr. Beaver graduated from Mound High School in 1942 in Mound, Minn. He married 
Evelyn J. Baguhn in 1946, and they moved to Riverside in 1950. Prior to 
settling in Lodi in 1998, he and his wife also lived in Corona, Walnut Creek. 

He began his career with California Motor Express in Los Angeles in 1957. He 
was promoted to sales manager in 1965 for the San Francisco office. He and his 
wife moved to Reno, Nev., in 1975, where he helped to build a market for CME. 
He left the trucking business 1989, to work for the Beidleman family at 
Honolulu Freight Service in Reno and Stockton, where he remained until his 
death.

He attended St. Anne's Catholic Church. He enjoyed working in the yard and 
telling jokes. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.


He is survived by his sons, Jim, of Antioch, and Bob, of Seal Beach, Tom, of 
Renton, Wash; companion, Clara Clear, of Sacramento; eight grandchildren and 
five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Evelyn.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sept. 17 at Lodi Funeral Home. 
Inurnment will be private. Flowers may be sent to Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. 
Fairmont Ave., Lodi, CA 95240.

Suite 403-3, Honolulu, Hawaii, 96815.
