Rick Bennett

Dec. 3, 1962 — Oct. 6, 2005

Graveside services will be Saturday for Rick Bennett, 42, who died Oct. 6, 
2005 at his Tracy home.

Mr. Bennett was a native of Salinas, where he lived until moving to Tracy 27 
years ago. He had been a caregiver to his mother for the past 25 years. He 
graduated from Tracy High School in 1981 and attended San Joaquin Delta 
College and Sawyer College. He enjoyed football, computers, bowling and time 
alone. 

Mr. Bennett is survived by his mother, Thelma Bennett of Tracy; siblings, 
Susan Bennett of Salinas, Frank W.Bennett of Salinas and Joyce A. Willis of 
South Lake Tahoe; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Van Unen.

Saturday’s graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. at Tracy Cemetery. No 
visitation is planned. Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., is handling 
arrangements.

Contributions in Mr. Bennett’s name may be sent to Salvation Army, 180 E. 
Ocean Blvd., Long Beach 90802, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
