Frank Bertuccelli

Nov. 13, 1919 — March 9, 2006

Services will be Wednesday afternoon in Stockton for Frank Bertuccelli, 86, a 
longtime Union Island farmer who died Thursday at St. Joseph’s Medical Center 
in Stockton.

A native of San Francisco, Mr. Bertuccelli moved to Union Island north of 
Tracy as a youth, worked on several farms and then established his own farm, 
retiring after farming for a half-century.

He was an avid sportsman and hunter. In his later years, he enjoyed bowling, 
bocce ball and senior league baseball.

Mr. Bertuccelli was the husband for 68 years of Giovanna Bertuccelli of 
Stockton; the father of Marie Bacchetti of Tracy and Diane Simoni of 
Brentwood; and the father-in-law of Lindy Bacchetti of Tracy and the late 
Harry Simoni.

Also surviving are grandchildren Paula Fagundes, and her husband, Ron, Karen 
Garcia, and her husband, Armado, and Carla Payne, and her husband, Steven, all 
of Tracy, and Paul and Nicole Simoni, both of Brentwood; and great-
grandchildren Darrin and Melissa Fagundes and Sam Payne, all of Tracy.

Mr. Bertuccelli was the brother of Pete Davis of Santa Rosa and the late Alma 
Del Carlo and the late Edith Langdren.

Wednesday’s services will begin at 2 p.m. at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. 
California St., in Stockton. 

Visitation at the mortuary will be observed from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and 
from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be private.

The family prefers memorial contributions in Mr. Bertuccelli’s name to be made 
to the Alzheimer’s Aid Society of Northern California, 105 S. Washington St., 
Lodi 95240, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
