Bob was a member of American Legion and VFW Post. Bob was a man with the biggest heart. His passion and hobbies were motorcycles and boats. His famous words were "To know me is to love me!" Bob always had his garage open to family and friends and strangers to work on their bikes. No matter who you were, you would find a friend in Bob. Tinkering on his bike was one of Bob's favorite pastimes. His family will remember him as a loving and compassionate husband and father, loving Papa Bob to his grandchildren and wonderful and gracious friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Bob is survived by his wife, Verna Bailey, they have been married for 30 years; children, Robert Bailey Jr. of Stockton, CA, Christy and Brian Bailey-DeRuyter of Manteca, CA; grandchildren, Kaylee DeRuyter of Manteca, CA, Brian "Kody" DeRuyter of Manteca, CA; siblings, Diane Maupin of Full River Mills, CA, Gordon Siewert of Mill Valley, CA, Patrick Bailey of Brokenias, OR, Gary Bailey of Stockton, CA.
