He was born Dec. 14, 1921, in Phillipsburg, Mo. Mr. Barrett served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and then moved to California in 1945. He married Yvonne May Adrian in 1962, and they made their home in Lodi in 1965. He was self-employed as a barber for 27 years. He was a member of California Houndsman Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and swap meets. He particularly enjoyed talking with all the people that he met. John Barrett He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Barrett, of Lodi; daughters, Linda Pegarella and Diana Barrett, of Modesto; brothers, Charlie and Clarence Barrett, both of Missouri; sister, Irene Zebel, of Missouri; two grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas and Lawrence Barrett; and sisters, Blanche Gentz, Ann Finley, Margaret Vuichard and Katherine Beard. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park with Deacon Don Bo of St. Anne's Catholic Church officiating.
