Beardsley June 16, 1924 - March 8, 2005 James H. Beardsley, age 80, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2005. He was a World War II Veteran who served in the Europeon Theater, where he was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Jim taught for over 30 years at Stockton College and S.J. Delta College as an agricultural mechanics instructor. Jim served on the board and as president of the S.J. Historical Society and was instrumental in forming the "Monday Mechanics", a group dedicated to collecting and restoring antique tractors for the museum. He is survived by his beloved wife, Geneieve and daughters, Patty Holden and Catherine Richards and their husbands and children. Private graveside services were held. Family and friends are invited to a "Celebration of Life" service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, at the S.J. Historical Society building at Micke Grove.
