William A. Burns 
July 30, 1940 - March 18, 2005



William A. Burns, age 64, of San Jose, previously of Escalon for 23 years, 
passed away on Friday, March 18, 2005. He was born July 30, 1940 in Dallas 
Texas. He received his Bachelor's degree from San Jose State University. He 
received his Master's degree at St. Mary's College. He was a Teacher in several 
cities in the Bay Area with the majority of his career based in Manteca. He 
retired from the Manteca Unified School District in 2002. He resumed teaching 
in 2003 with the Alum Rock Union School District in San Jose.
William is survived by his mother, Elaine B. Burns of Sacramento, CA; 
daughters, Kelly Hughes of Escalon, CA and Shannon Anderson of Lincoln City, 
Oregon; sister, Terrie Burns of Kentfield, CA; grandchildren, Ryan Nelson of 
Spokane WA, Devin and Adam Amos of Escalon, CA and Jordan Anderson of Lincoln 
City, Oregon. 
Memorial Service is on Friday, March 25, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. at Deegan Funeral 
Chapel, 1441 San Joaquin St. in Escalon. Interment will be Private.
Remembrances: Chairty of your choice.
