Rick R. Camacho Sr.

Dec. 14, 1947 — Feb. 23, 2006

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday for Rick R. Camacho Sr., 
58, who died Feb. 23 at his Manteca home.

Born in Kohala, Hawaii, Mr. Camacho lived in the Manteca and Stockton area 26 
years. He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran and served in Vietnam. He was self-
employed as a construction worker about 10 years. He enjoyed working with and 
for people, and he had numerous friends. He will be greatly missed by all who 
knew him.

Mr. Camacho is survived by his companion of 18 years, Sharon Cowan of Manteca; 
son, Ricky Camacho Jr. of Newark; daughter, Melanie Bridgeman, and her 
husband, Jamie, of Tracy; stepdaughter, Shawny Ridgeway of Stockton; mother, 
Mabel DeKidos of Manteca; siblings, Brenda Camacho of Manteca, Wayne Camacho 
of Paradise, Teri Camacho of Fremont, Elyse Gouveia, and her husband, Danny, 
of Manteca and Scott Camacho, and his wife, Joann, of San Leandro; 
grandchildren, Jessica Camacho of Angels Camp, Jared and Katelyn Bridgeman, 
both of Tracy, and Shawn Ridgeway of Stockton; and numerous aunts, uncles, 
nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Camacho.

Friday’s Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 525 
E. North St., in Manteca. Visitation will be observed from 1 to 7 p.m. today 
at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, in Manteca, followed by a 
recital of a rosary at 7. Interment will begin 10:30 a.m. Monday in San 
Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W. McCabe Road, in Gustine.
