Richard Cardenas
Richard Cardenas, 72, of Lockeford, died Oct. 8 in a Stockton hospital. He was 
born Dec. 26, 1932, in Livingston.

Mr. Cardenas served in the U.S. Army. He lived in Lockeford for 10 years and 
was employed by Shell Oil Co. as a foreman for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, 
traveling to Lake Tahoe, music and spending time with his family. 

He is survived by his wife, Helen Cardenas, of Lockeford; daughters, Angie 
Cardenas, of Colorado and Marilyn Ferriera, of Lockeford; sons, Richard 
Cardenas Jr., of Arizona, Albert Cardenas, of Florida, and Raymond Meyers, of 
Antioch; sisters, Naomi Philippi, of San Francisco, Dora Benitez, of Lockeford, 
Carmen Albarran, of Pacoima, and Linda Grove, of Castaic; brothers, Albert 
Cardenas, of Burbank and Andrew Moreno, of Texas; and numerous grandchildren 
and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rena Perron; and son, Anthony 
Cardenas.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee 
Memorial Park, Highway 99 and E. Harney Lane, Lodi. Visitation will be held 
from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 
Industrial Way, Lodi.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Institution for Research 
and Patient Care, 1170 Morse Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94089-1605.

Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
