Casilda Charles

Dec. 23, 1937 — Nov. 30, 2005

Services will be today for former Tracy resident Casilda Charles, 68, who died 
Nov. 30 at her nephew’s Stockton home.

Ms. Charles was born in Antigua. She lived in New York and then moved to 
Tracy, where she lived for seven years. She worked as a certified nurse’s aide 
for 15 years at a convalescent and rehabilitation hospital in New York. She 
was a member at Valley Bible Church.

Ms. Charles is survived by her father, Alex Charles of Antigua; siblings, John 
Hodge of Tracy, Selvin George of Houston, Texas, Icilma Joseph and Winston 
Charles, both of the Virgin Islands, and Richard and Benson Charles, both of 
New York; uncle, Joseph Charles of Florida; nieces and nephews, Emogene and 
Samuel Marshall of Antigua, Trevor George of the Virgin Islands, Sandra Hodge 
of Virginia, Blondell George of Nevada, John, Michael and Bernice Hodge, and 
Sean Hodge, all of Stockton; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Magdalene Phillip; and brothers, 
Foster Adams and Patrick Charles.

Today’s services will begin at 11 a.m. at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland 
Ave. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. today at the mortuary. Interment 
will be in Tracy Cemetery.
