Margie Choate
Margie H. Choate, 82, of Ione and formerly of Lodi, died Oct. 20 in a Folsom 
Hospital. She was born Nov. 30, 1922, in Lindsay, where she was raised and 
attended Lindsay High School.

Ms. Choate worked as a packer in various packing sheds for 30 years in Lindsay 
and the surrounding areas. She moved to Lodi in 1988 and then moved to Ione. 
She enjoyed shopping, sewing and playing bingo. 

She is survived by her daughters, Billie Woods, of Ione and Jodene Burnett, of 
Searcy, Ariz.; sister, Margaret Ray, of Lindsay; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-
grandchildren and five great-great-granchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, William Belleville; and son, 
Granvelle Henry.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Cherokee Memorial Park, 
Highway 99 and Harney Lane, Lodi.

Gierhart-Wells & Donahue Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
