He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Born in Hawaii, he moved to California with his family as a young boy. He graduated from Washington Union High School in Fremont, served proudly in the United States Army during World War II and then worked as a nurseryman in San Leandro before retiring. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Benancio Ugale of Union City and his cousin, Generoso Bayhon of Lathrop; nephews, Ben Ugale, Felipe Ugale and Ricky Ugale; nieces, Ann Ugale McGarr, Mona Ugale Shane, and Janice Ugale Scott; one great-nephew; six great-nieces; eight great-great-nephews and one great-great- niece. Visitation and Rosary will be held at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd, Fremont, on Friday, April 1, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe, formerly Saint Leonards, 40382 Fremont Blvd, Fremont on Saturday, April 2, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services immediately following at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 26320 Mission Blvd, Hayward, where he will be entered into eternal rest beside his wife, Remedlos.
