Carrasco March 21, 1928 - April 9, 2005 Rudolph Z. Carrasco was born on March 21, 1928 in El Paso, Texas to Inez Zaragosa and Jesus Carrasco. On Saturday, April 9, 2005, Mr. Carrasco passed away. He was a long time 40 year resident of Stockton. At the age of 17 Rudolph enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II and Korea as a PFC Rifleman 745, Co. G 2nd BN 16th Infantry 1st. division. While serving his country he earned the World War II Victory medal, Army Occupation Medal, CIBAD, Korean SVC Medal. Mr. Carrasco retired from Sharp Army Depot as a Quality Control Clerk. During his retirement he worked part-time as a security guard. Rudolph loved to be in uniform no matter what job he held. His reason for that was he looked in good in uniform. Mr. Carrasco was married twice in his lifetime. Once to Rachel Hernandez Carrasco then divorced then remarried with Monica Vargas Ponce Carrasco. Which were only separated 2 years ago by his wife's untimely death. They were married 32 years. He is survived by his Loving children, Marecellia, Brenda, Arthur, Steve, Gloria, William, Helen, David, Sylvia, Armando, Darlene, Arelene and Victor; grandfather of 30 and great-grandfather to several. Rudolph was also a Veteran of WWII and Korean War. A vigil will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at DeYoung Memorial, 601 N. California St. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gertrude's, 1663 E. Main St., Stockton, CA. Visitation will be held Wednesday, at from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Mortuary. Committal will be at Stockton Rural Cemetery.
