She was born in Rio Vista, CA on June 4, 1925 to John and Alice Vieira and was one of three children. She lived on Ida Isleton (Vieira's Resort) most of her live. Ardene was the bookkeeper and office manager at Vieira's Resort, Inc. for over 50 years, and was still working there full time until her illness. She was an active member of St. Therese's Catholic Church. Ardene was always a fun person to be around and when she wasn't working, she was enjoying gardening, shopping, traveling to Jackson and Reno and spending time in Somerest, CA with her family and many close friends. She will be best remembered as a loveing wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and with all her generosity with helping others in need. She will be dearly missed. Ardene was the beloved mother of Karen Spooner of Antioch, Kevin Chavier of Stockton; loving sister of Jack Vieira of Vieira's Resort; adored grandmother of Pamela Pearson of Dublin, Cindy Sanders of Oakley, Debbie Serna of Antioch, Jeannie Chavier of Woodbridge, Brett Chavier of Stockton; cherished great grandmother of Nicholas, Jordan & Ryan Sanders of Oakley, Kathryn & Morgan Pearson of Dublin, Ashley Arens of Woodbridge, Allanya & Alyssa Serna of Antioch. Friends are invited to attend the Rosary and the Mass of Christian Burial, on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Therese's Church, 100 Jackson Blvd., Isleton, CA 95641. Interment will be held at the St. Joseph's Cemetery in Rio Vista. C.E. Stewart Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
