Karen L. Daniels

Nov. 19, 1957 — Feb. 19, 2006

Services will be today for homemaker and entrepreneur Karen L. Daniels, 48, 
who died Feb. 19 in Atlanta.

Born in Tracy, Ms. Daniels had lived in Atlanta for a year; before that, she 
had lived in Hercules.

She spent her childhood in Tracy, where she graduated from Duncan-Russell High 
School in 1975. She owned and operated Almost Home Childcare and cared for 
many families for more than 10 years. Ms. Daniels then became a florist and 
opened KD’s Flowers and Gifts. As a loving, compassionate, generous and 
understanding person, she touched many lives. These qualities gave her the 
ability to love and help everyone she knew. She dedicated her life to caring 
for her family and serving God while helping others. 

Both her home and heart were always open to anyone she knew. Ms. Daniels 
touched many lives in a special and unique way. She will be greatly missed by 
all. 

Ms. Daniels is survived by her mother, Beverly Hussey, of Tracy; children, 
Corrina Celestine-Martinez of Atlanta, and Amber and Alisha Daniels, both of 
Hercules; siblings, Tina Perry, Linda Smith, Phyllis Abbott and Paul Hussey, 
all of Tracy, and Ronald Celestine of Sacramento; grandmother, Roseland 
Evanson of Tracy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, John C. Hussey.

Today’s services will begin at 1 p.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central 
Ave. Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery.
