Jack C. Downer Sr.

Sept. 10, 1935 — Jan. 29, 2006

Jack C. Downer Sr., 70, died Jan. 29, 2006 at Garden City Health Care Center 
in Modesto. 

Mr. Downer was a native of Detroit. He lived in Lathrop until he recently 
moved to Modesto. 

He was a car salesman who owned a used car dealership in Tracy in the early 
90s. He was an avid coin and stamp collector.

Mr. Downer is survived by his former wife, Beverly A. Downer of Modesto; 
children, Deborah Casserly of Montgomery, Ala., Andrew Downer of Paradise, 
Jack Downer Jr. of Modesto, Jay Downer of Greeley, Colo., and Joseph Downer of 
Livermore; sisters, Julie Cummings and Joyce Reinhart, both of Michigan; 
grandson, Steven M. Downer, 15, who was raised by Mr. Downer, and 14 other 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Downer.

No services are planned.

Franklin & Downs Colonial Chapel, 704 12th St., in Modesto, is handling 
arrangements.
