Irene DeAngelis 
Irene DeAngelis, 83, of Lodi, died May 25 in a local convalescent hospital 
following a lengthy illness. She was born Sept. 15, 1921, in Salt Lake City, 
Utah.

Mrs. DeAngelis was employed by Stanford Research Institute in Menlo Park as a 
computer programmer for several years prior to her retirement. She lived in 
Lodi for the last five years. 

She is survived by her son, Sam DeAngelis, of Mountain View; daughters, Karen 
Drushal, of Vacaville, Tina Larson, of Mountain View, and Jamie Spegar, of 
Stockton; twin sister, Ione Reese, of Salt Lake City, Utah; brothers, Lee 
Scott, of Laguna Hills and Larry Squires; seven grandchildren, 11 great-
grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral and burial will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Gierhart-Wells & Donahue Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
