David was born in Springfield MO to his parents Ernest and Opal Dudley, who preceded him in death, he was also preceded in death by brother, Lowell W. Dudley and sister, Ardath E. Meador. David was a resident of Stockton for over 60 years and moved to Lockeford in 2004. He was a blessing to his family, always willing to help and had rocked most of the babies as they came into the family. David was loyal, helpful and loving to his parents and family members. Although he was never able to attend school due to a childhood illness, he loved books from all over the United States and many countries. He delighted in looking at pictures. He also had a large collection of CD'S, cassettes and videos. He especially enjoyed the "Three Stooges" and "Laurel and Hardy" movies. His gift of conversation will be missed daily, along with his great wit and humor. He loved vanilla ice cream, model cars and trucks, his stuffed animals and chocolate candy. David had a deep respect for the U.S. Flag and was very patriotic to his country. David loved all kinds of music and playing his guitar. He played the piano and mandolin at a very young age. He enjoyed attending Quail Lakes Baptist Church, especially the music, but also listened intently to Pastor Mark's sermons. All family functions were a delight to him, especially birthday parties and nieces and nephews weddings. David is survived by sister and husband, Shirley and Harold Warner, sister, Mary Visco, all of Lockeford, CA and sister and husband, Nancy and Phillip Syslo of Stockton. Also survived by ten nieces and nephews, Sondra Messick, Brian Meador, Ray Warner, Jeff Warner, Janette Johnson, Kathy Childless, Ardeth Flynn, Hannah, Stephen and Gabriel Syslo; eight great-nieces and nephews and five great-great-nieces and nephews. Plus numerous cousins in MO, NV and Oregon. Family and friends are invited to viewing from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, Lodi CA. Services: 1:00 p.m. in the Evergreen Chapel, Hwy 99 & East Harney Lane, Lodi. Cherokee Memorial is in charge of services.
