Dwyer, 86, of Lodi, died March 15 of natural causes at his residence. He was born Sept. 27, 1918, in Williston, N.D. Mr. Dwyer lived in Lodi for 39 years. He served in the U.S. Army and was a World War II veteran. He owned and operated a general store in northern Idaho for 15 years, and then operated a small upholstery business in Lodi for many years. He worked as an inspector for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms in the U.S. Government for 16 years until his retirement. He was a former member of the Lodi SIRS. He was a history buff, and avid reader and enjoyed traveling. He is survived by his daughter, Genelle Dwyer, of Sacramento; son, Tim Dwyer, of Lodi; step-sons, Robert Wayne Sullivan, of Couer d'Alene, Idaho, and V. Ross Sullivan, of Brainerd; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Dwyer. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi. Memorial contributions may be made to Children Inc., P.O. Box 5381 Richmond, Va. 23220-0381.
