Victor Emery 
Victor Lee Emery, 64, of Stockton and formerly of Lodi, died Aug. 26. He was 
born June 15, 1941, in Mount Carmel, Ill.

Mr. Emery moved to Modesto in the late 1950s. He worked for the Defense Depot 
in Tracy for 35 years until his retirement. He then worked for Axle Plus, where 
he delivered auto parts to various businesses in Stockton and Lodi. 

He enjoyed fishing, attending family functions and spending time with his 
children and grandchildren. He was an avid bowler and participated in many 
bowling leagues.





Victor Emery
He is survived by his companion, Kathy Doffin, of Lodi; daughters, 
Zonda "Candy" Whitten, of Tracy, and Leanne Rutherford, of Stockton; sons, 
Anthony "Tony" Johnston, of Ceres, Christopher Emery, of Stockton; sisters, 
Phyllis Patrick, of Mattoon, Ill, Jeanne Coffman, of Tennessee; eight 
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Marie Emery; and his brother.

A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee 
Memorial Park, Highway 99 and Harney Lane, Lodi.

Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
