George Englefield 
George N. Englefield, 86, of Lockeford, died May 29 in a Stockton hospital. He 
was born April 29, 1919, in San Francisco, where he was raised.

Mr. Englefield married Marie Gjurovich in 1945 in San Francisco, and they made 
their home in the East Bay. He worked as a supervisor for a steam ship company 
for 50 years. He and his wife lived in Pine Grove before relocating to 
Lockeford. He was an artist who enjoyed painting and working with wood. In his 
younger years, he enjoyed square dancing with his wife. 

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marie Englefield, of Lockeford; 
daughters, Georgia Englefield, of Belmont, Marsha Horowitz, of Malibu, and 
Holly Musta, of Danville; and four grandchildren.

A private service was held. Interment will be held at St. Joachim's Catholic 
Cemetery.

Gierhart-Wells & Donahue Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
