Donald Faszer
  Donald Ray Faszer, 65, of Lodi died May 12 at home after an extended 
illness.  He was born Dec. 30, 1926, in Lehr, N.D.
  Mr. Faszer attended schools in North Dakota.  He married Isabelle Hansen on 
Aug 8, 1947, in Lansing, Mich., and they moved to Lodi in 1948.
  He owned a grocery store on Eden Street in Lodi and was later employed by 
Super Mold.  He started John Faszer & Sons General Contracting, working from 
1954 to 1972.  He then owned V&W Marbeline in Galt from 1972 to 1984.  With 
his son, Douglas, he returned to contracting in 1984.
  Mr. Faszer was a member of the First Baptist Church and service in the U.S. 
Navy in the Philippines from 1944 to 1946.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
  Mr. Faszer was preceded in death by his father, John, in 1978.
  He is survived by his wife, Isabelle Faszer of Lodi; two daughters, Susan 
Bagley of Lodi and Marsha Stevenson of Sacramento; a son, Douglas Faszer of 
Galt; his mother, Emma Faszer of Lodi; a brother, Charles Faszer of Lodi; two 
sisters, Leone Beede of Sacramento and Maxine Polkinghorne of Woodland and six 
grandchildren.
  The funeral is 10:30 a.m. Friday at Lodi Funeral Home, with the Rev. G.G. 
Rauser and Rev. Aaron Buhler.  Committal will be at Cherokee Memorial Park.  
Visitation is 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to service time Friday at the 
funeral home.
