Ferguson Feb. 6, 1943 — Nov. 2, 2005 No services are planned for Darrel W. Ferguson, 62, who died Wednesday at his Prairie Grove, Ark., home. Mr. Ferguson was born in Modesto to Cecil Ferguson and Mable Matlock Ferguson. He was raised in Tracy and attended Tracy schools until entering the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was retired from IBM in San Jose where he was a service technician. He then moved to Hogeye, Ark. where he lived for 11 years. He worked at The United Bank of Springdale where he was the I.S. manager. His biggest hobby was breeding and raising pigeons. In his spare time, he was the Grand Master of the International Bokhara Trumpeters Pigeons Association, Birmingham branch. He will be remembered most for his love of family and his sense of humor. Mr. Ferguson is survived by his wife, Margaret of Prairie Grove; son, Matlock Ferguson of Prairie Grove, daughter, Elizabeth Von Urff of Hollister; two grandchildren, Samantha and Tim, both of Hollister; mother, Mable Matlock Ferguson of Tracy; and sisters, Brenda Smith-Rodke of Tracy, and Shirley Guettler of Vancouver, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Ferguson; and his brother, Richard Ferguson. Luginbuel Funeral Home, 115 N. Neal, Prairie Grove, Ark., is handling arrangements.
