Martha J. Fliegner

Sept. 2, 1917 — Jan. 5, 2006

Services were held for longtime Tracy resident Martha J. Fliegner, 88, who 
died Jan. 5 at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital.

A native of Richmond, Mrs. Fliegner lived in Tracy 22 years. She worked as a 
nurses’ aide in various health-care facilities for 50 years. She was a member 
of the Native Daughters of California, Odd Fellows and the Etude Club of 
Berkeley. She enjoyed painting and traveling all throughout Europe. She loved 
the Queen Elizabeth II ship.

Mrs. Fliegner is survived by her daughter, Grace Crawford of Crawford, Texas; 
and her dear friends, Pastor Donna Wood and the parishioners of Tracy First 
United Methodist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ludwig W. Fliegner; and sons, 
Lawrence Scott Crawford and Douglass Crawford.

Interment will be private. 

Published on Friday, January 13, 2006, in the Tracy Press.
