He was born Jan. 28, 1931, in China. Mr. Fong moved to the U.S. age the age of 16 and settled in Sacramento. He attended Sacramento High School, and then served in the Army in the early 1950s. He moved to Lodi in the 60s, where he and his business partners owned and operated Lodi Supermarket and Westgate Plaza. Following his retirement in 1996, he enjoyed golfing and traveling. He is survived by his wife, Janet Fong; son, Steven Fong; daughters, Yvonne Taylor and Kathy Shiu; mother, Bik Fong; and five grandchildren. A service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the George L. Klumpp Chapel of the Flowers, 2691 Riverside Blvd., Sacramento. George L. Klumpp Chapel of the Flowers is in charge of arrangements.
