Betty Ford

March 21, 1929 — Feb. 19, 2006

Services will be Friday for Betty Ford, 76, who died Sunday in Pleasanton.

Born in San Francisco, Mrs. Ford moved with her family to Oakland where she 
met her husband at school. 

She moved to Pleasanton 34 years ago and was a yard supervisor there 34 years. 
She enjoyed attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. She 
liked bingo and trips to Reno, Nev. She loved and missed her husband. She will 
be missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Ford is survived by her children, Janet Gleese, and her husband, Rick, of 
Tracy, Cindy Sullivan, and her husband, Steve, of McKinleyville, Mike Ford of 
Yreka and Jim Ford of Salida; siblings, Barbara Conner of Fremont and Larry 
Bills of Oakland; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Ken Ford.

Friday’s services will begin at 1 p.m. at Callaghan Mortuary, 3833 East Ave., 
in Livermore. Visitation will be observed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. that same day.

Contributions in Mrs. Ford’s name may be sent to the American Heart 
Association, Memorial and Tribute Processing Center, 1710 Gilbreth Road, 
Burlingame 94010; or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
