Lena Mary Fernandes
10/18/12-3/21/2005

  Lena Fernandes of Loomis passed away March 21, 2005 while being surrounded by 
her loving family. She was proud to be 92 years old.
  Proceeded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Manuel Fernandes, 
three brothers and a sister. She is survived by her three children, Manuel 
Fernandes and his wife Anna-Leah of Sheridan, Virginia Terra and her husband 
Tom of Acampo, Judi Naill and her husband Gary of Loomis. She was the very 
proud grandmother of 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-
grandchildren.
  Before moving to Loomis 33 years ago, she lived many years in Eureka and 
Lodi. In Lodi, she, her husband and children lived and worked in the dairy 
business. While in Eureka, she worked at the old Trinity Hospital in Arcata. In 
1972, she and her husband moved to Loomis, to be near their three children and 
grandchildren.
  She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Church in Rockllin.
  Besides spending time with her family, she loved to work in her garden, 
embrodery, cook, bake cookies and breads and make candy.
  A Rosary and viewing will be Saturday, March 26, at 3:00 pm at the Lassila 
Funeral Chapel, 406 H Street in Lincoln. Funeral Services will be held Monday, 
March 28 at SS Peter & Paul Church on 4450 Granite Drive in Rocklin starting 
with a viewing at 9:30 am and Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Internment will be at 
the Newcastle Cemetery following the Funeral Mass.
  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to SS Peter & Paul Ladies 
Guild, your favorite charity, or Masses in her memory.
