He was born April 29, 1935, in Michigan. Mr. Fleming served in the Navy for two years and the Air Force for four years. He moved to Galt in 1945, and was self employed as a truck driver for 25 years. He was a member of VFW Post 9888, Galt JC's, Lodi Elks Lodge, and was a former member of the Roman Grapes Travel Club of Lodi. He was also a member of Galt First Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping and golfing. Shelby Fleming He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy Fleming, of Galt; daughter, Saundra Fleming, of Galt; son, Terry Fleming, of Galt; brother, Charles Fleming, of Salinas; sisters, Penny Aschwanden, of Elk Grove, and Linda Limon, of Galt; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Eva Mae DeStafanis. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Galt Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
