Antonio D. Gabriel

April 27, 1925 — Dec. 6, 2005

Services will be private for avid gardener Antonio D. Gabriel, 80, who died 
Tuesday at his Stockton home. 

Born in Guaratiba, Brazil, Mr. Gabriel lived in Tracy 35 years. After working 
20 years as Tracy High School’s custodian, he retired in 1980. 

Mr. Gabriel is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ida Gabriel of Tracy; 
children, Oscar Gabriel, and his wife, Patti, of Tracy, Beatrice Machado, and 
her husband, Frank, of Livingston, Bertha Faria, and her husband, Manuel, of 
Los Banos and Eugene Gabriel, and his wife, Laurie, of Fresno; grandchildren, 
Jennifer Gabriel of Stockton, Robert Gabriel of Tracy, Gina and Leah Machado, 
both of Livingston, Gabriella and Arianna Faria, both of Los Banos and Lacey 
and Tess Gabriel, both of Fresno; and sisters, Maria Baptista of New Jersey 
and Olivia Pimentel of Canada.

He was preceded in death by parents, Jose and Amelia Gabriel; brothers, Mario 
and Manuel Gabriel and sister, Sophia Souza.
