He was born Oct. 8, 1921, in Sinaloa, Mexico. Mr. Garcia came to the United States as an infant with his family. He resided in Manteca for many years and then in Jamestown. He settled in Lodi three years ago, and received his U.S. Citizenship last year. He was employed as an agriculture farm worker for approximately 50 years until his retirement in 1985. He enjoyed fishing, his vegetable garden and playing and dealing cards. Ray Garcia He is survived by his companion, Vivian Pearson, of Sonora; daughters, Frances Garcia Haley and Sandi Garcia Mitchell, both of Lodi; sons, Robert Garcia, Allen Garcia and David Havens, all of Lodi, Raymond Garcia and Raymond Garcia Jr., both of Stockton and David Garcia, of Galt; 14 grandchildren and one great- granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Rodriguez; and son, John Garcia. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the home of his daughter, Sandi Mitchell, 820 N. Lower Sacramento Road, No. 17, Lodi. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA 95204-1953.
