Maria Garcia-Cervantes 
March 25, 1910 - April 5, 2005
 
Maria Garcia-Cervantes passed away at a hospital in Stockton on Tuesday, April 
5, 2005. She was 95 years old. She was born in Guanajuato, Mexico on March 25, 
1910. Maria took care of her family as a homemaker for over 60 years, she loved 
her family very much.
She is survived by her children, Josefina Martinez and Carlota Nava, both of 
Stockton; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-
grandchildren. Maria will be dearly missed and she is loved by her family and 
all who knew her.
There will be a Mass on Friday, April 8, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. The Mass will be 
held at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, 1663 E. Main St. Stockton, CA. 
Following the Mass a committal service at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery in 
Stockton, CA. There will be visitation on Thursday, April 7, 2005 from 1:00 
p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, Lodi, 
CA. Following visitation there will be a service of remembrance at 4:00 p.m. in 
the Evergreen Chapel, Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy. 99 and East Harney Lane, 
Lodi, CA.
