Josefa Soto de Ocegueda
June 2, 1935 — May 24, 2004 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday for longtime Tracy 
resident Josefa Soto de Ocegueda, 68, who died Monday at Sutter Tracy Community 
Hospital.
Born in Jalisco, Mexico, she lived in Tracy 40 years.
A homemaker, she loved to crochet, cook and spend time with her family.
She is survived by five brothers, Guillermo and Efrain Soto, both of Tracy, 
Enrique Soto of Mexico, Antonio Soto of Stockton and Leo Soto of Linden; and 
two sisters, Augustina Medrano of Tracy and Celia Soto of Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cruz Ocegueda.
Friday’s Mass will begin at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. 
Eaton Ave.
Visitation will be observed from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Fry Memorial Chapel, 
550 S. Central Ave., with a rosary immediately following.
Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery.
