Bradley Charles Cox July 22, 1992 — May 22, 2004 Services will be in Tracy Thursday for Bradley Charles Cox, 11, who died Saturday in a crash at a Motocross track in Hollister. Born in Tacoma, Wash., Bradley had lived in Tracy four years. According to family members, he was doing one of the activities he loved most when he died. He was practicing for a big race on Sunday when the accident occurred. “Three weeks prior to Bradley’s death, he asked his mom, ‘When I get to heaven, do you think Jesus will let me run a Motocross track?’” his grandmother, Leann Edelblute, recounted Tuesday. “Even though the burden of this tragedy is so heavy now, we have everlasting hope through Jesus Christ that we will spend eternity with Bradley at the ‘Foxiest’ Motocross track in heaven, where everyone is a winner,” she added. Bradley was a sixth-grader in the Gifted and Talented Education program at Williams Middle School, where he was loved by his teachers and classmates. “Three hundred of the 600 sixth-graders can tell you a positive Bradley Cox story,” said Wes Huffman, his teacher at Williams, on Monday. “They only had positive encounters.” Bradley is survived by his parents, Brad and Marcelle Cox of Tracy; a sister, Gabrielle Cox of Tracy; his grandparents, Barry and Leann Edelblute of California, and Jeannie Cox of Washington; great-grandparents Phil and Margie Youngquist of Washington; three uncles, Steve Cox of Coleville, Wash., Greg Cox of Spokane, Wash., and Kevin Cox of Kettle Falls, Wash.; three aunts, Melissa Adlhoch of Moorpark, Melinda Edelblute of Cottage Grove, Ore., and Suzane Heath of Cheney, Wash.; and numerous other relatives and friends. Thursday’s services are open to the public and will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. No visitation is planned. Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Bradley’s name be sent to the Bradley C. Cox Memorial Fund, c/o Washington Mutual Bank, 691 W. 11th St., Tracy 95376. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/caobfiles/ File size: 2.7 Kb
