Henry Albarico Feb. 3, 1927 — May 22, 2004 A memorial service will be Saturday for former Tracy resident Henry Albarico, 77, who died May 22 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Manteca. Born in Elk Grove, Mr. Albarico lived in Tracy 10 years before moving to Manteca five years ago. He was a retired warehouseman and musician, and a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II. Mr. Albarico enjoyed fishing and traveling. He also enjoyed horses. Mr. Albarico will be remembered by family and friends as someone with an open heart who was willing to help anyone in need. He will also be remembered as a loving father, a wonderful brother, a special grandfather and great-grandfather, and as a loyal friend to many. Mr. Albarico is survived by five children, Henry Albarico and Geraldine Cautiverio, both of Livermore, Anna Mae Arvetis of Castro Valley, Fredrick Albarico of San Lorenzo, and Hope Place of Reno, Nev.; a brother, David Albarico of Wahiawa, Hawaii; eight grandchildren, Natalie and Tony Albarico, both of Knights Ferry, Elicia Chestang of Oakland, Vanessa Reed of San Leandro, Khristine Albarico of Travis Air Force Base, Matthew Albarico of San Lorenzo, Eric Albarico of Modesto, and Alfredo Cautiverio of Crockett; and 10 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Contrina Schmidt. Saturday’s service will begin at 11 a.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, in Manteca, followed by a gathering at Ofie’s Mexican Cuisine, 1800 W. Yosemite Ave., in Manteca. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions in Mr. Albarico’s name may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, P.O. Box 29119, Phoenix, AZ 85038-9119.
