Wanda L. Sillivan March 12, 1942 — May 20, 2004 Services will be Tuesday morning for longtime resident Wanda L. Sillivan, 62, one of Tracy’s most active real estate agents during the past three decades. She died Thursday afternoon at her home north of Tracy. A native of Kingman, Ariz., Mrs. Sillivan was the daughter of Everett and May Kirby. The family moved to Stockton when she was 3 years old. She attended Stockton schools and graduated from Franklin High School. After moving to Tracy in 1962, she worked at the San Joaquin Valley Hay Growers Association and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. In 1970, she entered real estate in Tracy as an associate with Covered Wagon Real Estate. She later joined Century 21 Yeomans Real Estate and became one of the most productive agents, earning 20 Century 21 Centurion Awards. Janis Rainey, a mortgage banker who worked with Mrs. Sillivan for many years, recalled, “Wanda was an absolute natural. She radiated great warmth and truly cared about her clients’ welfare.” Her husband, Larry Sillivan, said, “Wanda has accomplished more than most can dream about, and she did this while ‘whistling all the way to work.’” Mrs. Sillivan was a member of the board of directors of the Tracy Sunrise Rotary Club and was a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. Before and after serving as a board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tracy, she participated in annual fund-raising efforts for the youth service organization. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and a member of the Pillar Society of the Tracy Community Memorial Hospital Foundation, serving as a co- chairperson of the annual Festival of Trees sponsored by the foundation. She and her husband enjoyed traveling with friends in Model A Ford and Thunderbird auto clubs and taking ocean cruises. A close friend, Bev Montgomery, said, “Wanda was always the life of the party. We did camping to cruising, and everything in between, for many years. What great memories.” Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Larry Sillivan of Tracy; a daughter, Debra L. Sillivan of Keyes; two sons, Walter Sillivan of Tracy and David L. Sillivan of San Andreas; and five grandchildren, Elizabeth LaGreca and Serina Sillivan, both of San Diego, Stephanie and Danielle Mathieu, both of Keyes, and Skylor Sillivan of San Andreas. Also surviving are four sisters, Penny Grimes of Stockton, Marie Antonini of Sonora, Jesse Dalon of Las Vegas and Arvilla Johnson of Minneapolis, Minn.; and a brother, Earl Kirby of Orlando, Fla. Tuesday’s services will begin at 10 a.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. Visitation at the mortuary will be observed from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday. Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery.
