Mark Allen Peterson Nov. 25, 1985 — May 20, 2004 Services will be Tuesday for Manteca resident Mark Allen Peterson, 18, who died in a vehicle accident in Tracy on Thursday. Born in Tracy, Mr. Peterson grew up in Manteca. He recently had been accepted to California State University, Stanislaus, where he planned to major in microbiology. He hoped to pursue a medical career in disease discovery. He worked part time at Big Valley Ford in Stockton in the service department. Mr. Peterson’s passion was music. His hobby was computers. He played the keyboard, guitar, saxophone and violin. In high school, he composed music for his senior project. He impressed the panel of teachers and two predicted he would become famous, his family said. Mr. Peterson is survived by three brothers, Joseph Joaquin of North Fort, Va., and Michael and Jacob Joaquin, both of Manteca. Tuesday’s service will begin at 11 a.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, in Manteca. Visitation will be observed from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment will be private.
