Helen Marlene Anderson Nov. 5, 1941 — Aug. 4, 2004 Interment will be in Wyoming for longtime Tracy resident and former pet-washing business co-owner Helen Marlene Anderson, 62, who died Wednesday at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital following a long illness. A native of Wheatland, Wyo., Mrs. Anderson moved from Hayward to Tracy in 1988, and she began working at Tracy Animal Shelter. In 1995, she became the co-owner of Scrub-A-Dub Pet Wash. She retired in 1998. Mrs. Anderson had a deep love for animals, especially dogs and cats. She enjoyed reading and photography, and she was a past member of the Tracy Camera Shop’s photography club. For the last eight years, Mrs. Anderson spent her days caring for her two granddaughters. She also had been writing memoirs for them. Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband of 37 years, Rodney Anderson of Tracy; two children, Ernie Anderson, and his wife, Janice, of Ceres, and Joyce Sullivan of Carson City, Nev.; and two granddaughters, Megan and Mackenzie Anderson of Ceres. Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., is handling arrangements. Interment will be in Iowa Flats Cemetery in Chugwater, Wyo.
