Margaret Loeffelbein


Margaret Van Buskirk Loeffelbein, 91, of Placerville and formerly of Lodi, died 
Aug. 4 in Placerville. She was born March 9, 1913, in Lodi.

Mrs. Loeffelbein graduated from Lodi Schools, and then San Jose State College. 
She married Herbert B. Loeffelbein in 1936, and they settled in Stockton. She 
was employed for 13 years as a teacher at Snells Pre-Kindergarten. She was an 
active member of the Congregational United Church of Christ. In 1973, she moved 
to Shingle Springs, where she was a member of El Dorado County Federated Church.

She is survived by her son, Charles Loeffelbein, of Shingle Springs; sisters, 
Marilyn Moore, of Lodi, and Helen Gordon, of New Jersey; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Loeffelbein; and son, Howard 
Ray Loeffelbein.

A service will be held on Thursday at Federated Church in Placerville.
