Elsie Knight


Elsie Knight, 85, of Herald, died Aug. 24 in a local hospital. She was born 
Feb. 17, 1919, in Hollandale, Okla.

Mrs. Knight worked as a homemaker and was a foster parent for many years. She 
enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Earl Knight, of Herald; brother, 
Rudy Norton, of Galt; and sisters, Helen Shrum, of San Jose, Paula Nova, of 
Herald, and Nora Colombo, of Sacramento.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Cherokee Memorial Park 
Cemetery in Lodi. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m. today at Lodi 
Funeral Home.

Lodi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
