Emelia Silveira


Emelia Silveira, 79, of Lodi, died Sept. 1 in a local hospital. She was born 
Sept. 4, 1924, in Flores, Azores.

Mrs. Silveira was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, and enjoyed cooking 
and gardening.

She is survived by her sons, Joe Da Silveira and Tony Armando Silveira, both of 
Lodi; daughter, Dora Sousa; brothers, Jose Chaves and Frank Chaves, both of 
Lodi; sisters, Otilia Bertholomeu, of Lockeford, and Palmira Freitas, of Flores 
Azores; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A church service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Anne's Catholic Church. 
Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery.

Lodi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
