Jessie Carpenter


Jessie M. Carpenter, 81, of Lodi, died Sept. 4 in his home. He was born Jan. 
29, 1923, in Springdale, Ariz.

Mr. Carpenter was a Lodi resident for 17 years, and was the owner of Mobile 
Home Services for 40 years.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Oleta Carpenter, of Lodi; son, Steve 
Carpenter, of Hollister; daughters, Teresa Downer, of Acampo, and Carolyn 
Milana, of Utah; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee 
Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. Dennis Johnson officiating. Committal will 
follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. 
today at Cherokee Memorial funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way at Beckman Road, 
Lodi.

Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
