Robert Knoedler


Robert H. Knoedler, 65, of Lodi, died Sept. 7 in Lodi. He was born May 20, 
1939, in San Francisco where he was raised.

Mr. Knoedler attended Concordia College in River Forest, Ill., and earned a 
Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Masters Degree in education. He married Bonnie 
McFall in 1962 in Santa Monica, and they settled in Lodi in 1980. He was a 
school teacher in Van Nuys, Norridge, Ill., St. Paulus Lutheran Church in San 
Francisco, Peru, and Indiana. He worked as full time choir director and was the 
organist at St. Peter Lutheran Church until his retirement in 2001. He later 
worked for Zion Reformed Church until retiring in 2003. He was a member of Zion 
Reformed Church. He enjoyed music and trains.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Bonnie Knoedler, of Lodi; daughters, 
Corinne McClendon, and Carol Knoedler, both of Lodi; son, John Knoedler, of 
Fairfield; sister, Ruth Knoedler, of Hattieville, Ark.; and brother, Walter 
Knoedler, of Hayward.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Zion Reformed Church with 
Pastor Matthew Duerr officiating. Committal will be private at Cherokee 
Memorial Park. There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Reformed Church, 100 S. Ham Lane, 
Lodi, CA 95242; or St. Peter Lutheran School, 2400 Oxford Way, Lodi, CA 95242.
