HOTTMAN Helen K. Hottman, 86, of Lodi, passed away September 10 in a local hospital following a brief illness. Helen was born in Eureka, South Dakota, on May 2, 1918, and attended local schools there. She was confirmed in the Congregational Church in Eureka, SD, on June 30, 1935. Helen K. Hottman She was married to Theodore Hottman on January 23, 1939, in Ashley, North Dakota. The couple came to Lodi in 1940. She was employed at the Stokely van Camp and Pacific Coast Producers cannery for 23 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Ebenezer Congregational Church. She is survived by her granddaughter, Kelly Lee (Hottman) Oswald-Comporato and husband, Claudio Comporato of Woodbridge; two great grandchildren; brothers, Harold and Rudolph Klein of South Dakota and Gideon Klein of Maine; sisters, Amanda Lang of Minnesota and Hertha Jensen of South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Hottman in 1980; son, Jimmy Hottman in 1958; brothers, Walter, Ivan, Fred and Herman Klein and sisters, Violet and Martha Klein. Visitation will be begin on Monday from 3:00 -- 8:00 pm, Tuesday 8:00 am -- 8:00 pm and Wednesday 8:00 am to 10:00 pm at the Lodi Funeral Home. funerals will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am at the Lodi Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Wayne Kildall of Ebenezer Congregational Church officiating. Committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.
