She was born Nov. 19, 1920, in Highgate, Mo. Mrs. Mesko moved to California in 1954, and resided in Napa until settling in Lodi a year later. She was employed by Dow's Nursery in Lodi as a gardners assistant for 10 years. She was an active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church since 1963, and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She enjoyed gardening and spending time helping with the church and St. Peter Lutheran School. She is survived by her sisters, June Moore, Ethel Fryer, Lucille Vincent, Dale Harvey and Hortense Wofford, all of Missouri; and brothers, Junior Giesler and Ed Giesler, both of Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Mesko in 1982. A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Garden of Gospels at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 and Harney Lane, Lodi, with Pastor Paul Zimmerman of St. Peter Lutheran Church officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Peter Lutheran School Scholarship Fund, 2400 Oxford Way, Lodi, CA 95242.
