Bailey, 75, of Elk Grove and formerly of Lodi, died Sept. 11. He was born Sept. 20, 1928, in Muskego, Wis. Mr. Bailey attended grade school in Sussex, Wis., and graduated from high school in Menominee Falls, Wis. He served in the 548th Engineering Battalion in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He taught school at several Catholic and public schools throughout California and the midwest. He was employed by Vantine Paint and Glass in Bismark, N.D. and at PG&E in Antioch for several years. He later tutored students in mathematics. William Bailey He is survived by his sisters, Helen Kraft, of North Dakota, and Dorothy Lawton, of Wisconsin; and brother, Mark Bailey, of Wisconsin. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 and E. Harney Lane, Lodi. Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
