MANSU, SR Nunzio C. Mansu, Sr., 77, died September 12, 2004, at his home in Galt. HE was born in Lewiston, New York on March 25, 1927. He graduated from Trott Vocational High School in Niagara Falls and he attended Niagara University for two years. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as a CB in WWII. In 1961 he met and married the love of his life, Joan. They were married for 42 years. In 1962 Nunzio and Joan moved to California where he owned and operated his own business, Mansu Painting and Decorating. HE painted for almost 55 years. He then went to work as Head Custodian at George Washington Elementary School in Lodi for 8 years. Nunzio C. Mansu, Sr. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Joan Mansu; his children, Nunzio C. Mansu, Jr., Lori L Young, both of Galt and Linda M. Perry of Citrus Heights; his brothers, Charles Mansu of New York and James Mansu of Lodi; his sisters, Frances Trunzo of New York, Dorthy Lierma of Modesto, Florence DeMasi of Hisperia and Ann Mari of Las Vegas; and his seven grandchildren, Eryn Mansu, Nathan Garcia, Mark Gonzalez, Haley Garcia, Caleb Mansu, Jason Young and Jesse Young. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of San Joaquin. A Celebration of Life will be held at Saint Anne's Catholic Church located at 215 West Walnut Street, Lodi, on Friday, September 17 at 10:30 a.m. No visitation will be held. Alternative Burial & Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.
