A private memorial service has been conducted in Stockton for retired Tracy 
chiropractor Marjory Holt Chapman, 88, who died April 16 at Seasons 
Convalescent Hospital in Modesto following a long illness.
A native of New Hampshire, Mrs. Chapman received a nursing degree and was a 
nurse in hospitals in Chicago before earning her chiropractic degree from 
Lincoln College of Drugless Physicians.
After receiving her chiropractic license in California, she first practiced in 
Southern California, then moved to Tracy in 1943. She practiced under the name 
of Dr. Marjory Holt until retiring in 1988.
Mrs. Chapman was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Chapman, a 
longtime industrial-arts teacher at Tracy High School; and a brother, David S. 
Holt of Connecticut.
