Jose Cervantez


Jose Cervantez, 65, of Galt and formerly of Lodi, died Sept. 20 in his home 
after a lengthy illness. He was born June 11, 1939, in Mexico.

Mr. Cervantez was a resident of the area for 30 years, and worked as a farm 
laborer. He was a trophy winning pool player and enjoyed spending time with his 
family.

He is survived by his sons, Santiago Cervantez, of Galt, and Jose Cervantez 
Jr., of Mexico; daughter, Amalia Cervantez, of Mexico; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at St. Christopher's 
Catholic Church of Galt. Inurnment will be private.

Ben Salas Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
